Learn how to identify and make use of your intellectual assets. Take the course on intellectual property and commercialisation provided by Uppsala University Innovation in collaboration with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office. Registration for the course is open.

Join fellow doctoral students, postdocs and researchers from different parts of the university to learn more about intellectual property and commercialisation of research results.

The course will give you a broad overview of different types of intellectual property (IP) and how it can be used to add commercial value to research outcomes, from describing impact in grant applications to licensing and creating startups. It will also provide tools for finding useful information from patents as well as for structuring and presenting research outcomes from a commercial point of view.

In the course, you will meet experienced business advisors and IP advisors from Uppsala University Innovation, and experts from the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV).

The course includes four half-day seminars during the period 22 September -13 October 2020. For PhD students, the course provides 3 ECTS in your postgraduate education. Other participants who complete the course will receive a course diploma.

Registration for the course is open. Deadline for registration is 31 August 2020.
