PhD course on intellectual property and commercialisation
UU Innovation offers a course on intellectual property and commercialisation for doctoral students and other employees at Uppsala University. The course is given in collaboration with experts at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office, PRV. The next round of the course is planned to start in the spring of 2020.
This course is aimed for Uppsala University PhD students and employees, and includes four seminars. It will give you a broad overview of different types of intellectual property (IP) and how it can be used to add commercial value to research outcomes, from describing impact in grant applications to licensing and creating startups. It will also provide tools for finding useful information from patents as well as for structuring and presenting research outcomes from a commercial point of view.
The course is given by UU Innovation in collaboration with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office.
